Electronic Medical Record Benefits
We have strived to make Med Records to GoTM to be simple to use yet comprehensive in medical information content. Your medical information is safe and secure and readily available in event of a medical emergency. The following are the direct benefits of Med Records to GoTM.
Your personal electronic medical records are privately recorded.
All medical records, programs, and controls are self-contained in the storage unit. You have full control over the storage unit and your vital medical information.
As an option, you can store your medical records on your cell phone, including your digital picture.
The "Med Records to GoTM" application of the portable storage unit can optionally transmit your medical records and digital picture to your Java-enabled, Android, or iPhone cell phone (see cell phone requirements). Depending on the particular brand of cell phone, viewing of your records is provided by a special, free application available from the Android Market, Apple iStore, or Vital Record Server. The various categories of your medical records are displayed using simple key selection on the cell phone.
There is absolutely no need to access the vulnerable Internet to store and view your private medical information. (A temporary Internet connec tion is required to transmit your medical records from the storage unit to a cell phone or to a medical facility.)
You do not need to connect to the untrusted, vulnerable Internet to store or view your private medical information. All programs, data, and controls are in the storage unit. The only exception is that a temporary Internet connection is required to transmit your encrypted medical records to your cell phone for emergency viewing or to a medical facility/office for treatment.
Your records are easily accessible by medical personnel
When the storage unit is plugged into the common port of the medical facility's computer, your medical data is automatically displayed (autorun/autoplay) in web page format using the Web browser installed on their computer. Thus, medical personnel do not need to learn a new computer application.
You can easily wear or carry the portable storage unit (key chain, lanyard, pocket, or purse).

The storage unit is very small and light. For the "thumb" drive, three holes exist at the end of the unit for the attachment of your key chain or lanyard. The credit style unit can be carried in a wallet or purse.
You do not need any batteries, or any other external power, to maintain your information in the device.

The storage device uses flash memory to store information. Flash memory is a solid state storage medium that requires no power to maintain information.
The storage device is easil y inserted in the common port of your computer or any medical facility's computer.
The storage unit uses a USB connection for operation. This type of connection is common in all modern computers.
Medical and health information is easily viewed and simply updated.
Because the application uses web page format and the installed web browser of your computer, simple buttons are used to view and update your medical information. You do not have to learn a new computer application.
You can password protect your medical information from unauthorized changes.
You have the option of establishing a password to protect your medical data from unauthorized changes. Also, the medical data stored in the device is encrypted and cannot be read and interpreted by any other application.
You can easily backup and restore your medical data using simple menu selection.
Your medical data can be stored on any other storage medium available on your computer for backup purposes. The data is stored in encrypted form and can only be read by the installed application on the portable storage device.
You can store a variety of medical information.
You can store medical diagnosis, doctors and specialists, prescription and non-prescription drugs, current treatments, allergies and immunizations, emergency contacts, insurance carriers, hospitalization information, wills, trusts, and DNR orders, digital picture identification, and more.
External documents and image files can be stored and viewed.
You can store along with your personal medical records important documents and images files of your doctor's office and medical facility. Document files may be Microsoft Word documents, standard text files, HTML, and PDF files. Image files can be suffix types, "jpg, gif, png, tif, and bmp." Any image file that can be viewed by using Windows Picture Viewer is supported. Emergency personnel can view your document and image files with a simple button click that displays the contents automatically using the appropriate program installed on their computer.
Your medical data can be created in Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) format of the new international Health Level Seven standard (HL7).
You can create, and view your medical data in CDA format on the portable storage unit. You can additionally transmit your CDA medical document from the storage unit to any doctor's office or medical facility that supports the HL7 international standard.
